Now Hiring: Development & Sponsorship Coordinator
Deadline to apply: June 23, 2024
Starting salary: $60,000 exactly, plus potential performance bonuses based on meeting mutually established benchmarks (financial and otherwise).
Job Overview
The Alluvion, a small, for-profit artist-centered performance venue in Traverse City, is expanding our team to include a Development and Sponsorship Coordinator. This position is focused on two primary objectives: developing a strong community fan base that subscribes to a new “fan club” membership, and developing a robust slate of corporate and community sponsors to help generate income to support Alluvion programs. As a secondary objective, the D/S Coordinator will assist with obtaining grants and donations, as well as developing and implementing other income generation strategies. This position has one foot in the world of non-profit development, and one foot in the world of for-profit income generation.
The ideal candidate will be able to keep their feet in each world, with solid experience in developing sponsorship programs (local experience is a big additional plus). Also, an abiding love of art and music, and exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Like all the positions at The Alluvion, this job will require a combination of high-level strategic planning and on-the-ground, hands-on implementation of those plans. Meeting financial metrics will be key, but financial success must come hand-in-hand with strong and continuous community engagement—and, of course, we hope you’ll be the biggest fan in the fan club.
