Originally from Detroit, Michael Hudson-Casanova is a rising saxophonist in Chicago's jazz and creative music scene. He recently released his second album as a leader entitled Animus, which features all original music. Hudson-Casanova has been called "...a mature composer, a democratic bandleader... as well as an innovative improviser" by All About Jazz. His quartet plays his music as well as their favorite 'off-the-beaten-path' jazz standards.
