At the heart of Reperio lies a shared passion for great chamber music, and a true celebration of the art of collaboration. With a strong commitment to the continued exploration of diverse and compelling repertoire, Reperio creates a powerfully unique connection with each new audience. The program at the Alluvion Oct 7th includes music by Lili Boulanger, William Grant Still, Madeleine Dring, Francis Poulenc, Benjamin Britten, Edmund Rubbra, and Johann Sebastian Bach.
Flutist Nancy Stagnitta is a leading crossover artist as both classical flutist and jazz artist. Her passion, versatility, and elegant artistry have led to concert and teaching engagements in Africa, Europe, Asia, and across the U.S. A Powell Artist, she gave the Asian premier of David Amram's "Giants of the Night" Flute Concerto in Beijing.
Pianist Ya-Ju Chuang, an active soloist, chamber musician, and collaborative pianist, has been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships in Taiwan and the United States. She was the first prize winner at the Brussels Grand Prize Virtuoso International competition, and the American Protégé International Competition.
Oboist Dane Philipsen is passionate about honoring the traditions, techniques, and musical expression of the American school of oboe playing while allowing space for the evolution of the style through innovation, refinement, and creativity. Philipsen is principal oboist of the Traverse Symphony Orchestra and maintains guest affiliations with the Chicago and Detroit Symphony Orchestras.
