Founded in the summer of 2018, Viridian Strings was established with a passion for chamber music performed with the beautiful backdrop of Northern Michigan. Artistic directors Kyle Stachnik and Joseph Skerik both are graduates of the Interlochen Arts Academy, and with an extensive combined history in the Grand Traverse area, decided to establish a collective of some of the countries most promising young musicians with a passion for providing high quality chamber music performances across the region. The Viridian Strings conviene in Northern Michigan for their annual summer season from the country's top musical institutions such as the Yale School of Music, Juilliard School, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and Carnegie Mellon University.
