Laura Rain and the Caesars are real deal Detroit soul to the utmost. They are six time Detroit Music Award winners led by the unstoppable vocalist and songwriter Laura Rain. The band is in the realm similar to Daptone Records or Big Crown Records, but with a style truly their own. Coming out of the Motor City with a strong, creative, and inspiring sound. Laura Rain and the Caesars are a product of their surroundings: a tough, hard-working American city that is reinventing itself as a vibrant incubator of ideas and creation.

Inspired by legends like The Meters, The Headhunters, and P-Funk. Fueled by current artists like MonoNeon, Soulive, Otis McDonald, and The New Mastersounds. Producing a genuine sound via Toasty Boy Studios in the fresh-air forests of Michigan. Rick Burgess on the drums. Jordy Moeggenberg on the bass. Jimmy Olson on keys/vocals. Matt McCalpin on guitar/vocals.
