Public Film Screening: "Eli: A Dog In Prison"

The Alluvion will be transformed into a 150 seat movie theater for a public screening of the film “Eli: A Dog In Prison” Written and directed by Jason B. Kohl and Nora Mandray. An unlikely friendship forms across racial lines when three prisoners are tasked with raising Eli, an unruly Labrador puppy, to become a highly-disciplined guide dog for the blind.

Presented by BDAI Traverse City the film will be shown on our big projector screen. Donations at the door will benefit The BDAI non-profit organization that advocates for the incarcerated by providing restorative programming, family support, and community education about alternatives to incarceration while engaging local and statewide stakeholders to improve the criminal justice system.
