About the artists:
MAY ERLEWINE
One of the Midwest’s most prolific and passionate songwriters, Erlewine has a gift for writing songs of substance that feel both fresh and soulfully familiar. Her ability to emotionally engage with an audience has earned her a dedicated following far beyond her Michigan roots. She shows us her heartbreak, but she also shows us her empowered and emboldened spirit. In her quest to find her most authentic self, Erlewine gifts each listener with a powerful, emotional experience that immediately connects us.
BEN ROSE - DRUMS
“I love sampling sounds and working on more minimalist pop (see Frankie and Scott Hoying’s “Ghost”) just as much as I love playing live drums and producing rock (see Pomplamoose’s cover of “Lisztomania” or “Toothbrush” by Top Bunk). I play guitar and piano, but my primary instrument is drum set; I’ve toured/recorded for Lea Michele (including a recent appearance on Fallon), Darren Criss, Theo Katzman (from Vulfpeck, but also a brilliant singer-songwriter in his own right), Moonchild, and Vincint, among others.” - Ben on SoundBetter
CHARLIE MILLARD - KEYS
“Singer-songwriter Charlie Millard is a complicated mix of yesterday's vintage and current musical Americana.” -The Northern Express
The leader of the Charlie Millard Band, producing thought-provoking songs that are “small movies for the ears”.
PACKY LUNDHOLM - GUITAR
Packy Lundholm is a Chicago-based multi-instrumentalist/producer/studio guy/occasional songwriter. The requisite name-dropping portion of his bio would contain such acts as Theo Katzman, May Erlewine, Woody Goss(/Woody and Jeremy), Woman Believer, I Fight Dragons, and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. Sometimes he takes time when not helping other people make stuff to make his own stuff.
JOEL GOTTSCHALK
A session & touring bassist based in Los Angeles. He’s recently been playing with songwriter/actress Kate Judson’s band, and has been spotted on the screen playing bass in Rent: Live on Fox and ABC’s The Little Mermaid Live, among other programs. His credits also include playing with artists such as Philip Sayce, Theo Katzman, Brett Dennen, May Erlewine, and Phil Cook.
