Join us to explore the art form of wheatpasting, a traditional method of attaching posters or graphics to a wall. Wheatpasting has been utilized for centuries as a means of spreading information, today it is used for the same things, as well as being a creative outlet for street artists. WHEATPASTE is a simple mixture consisting of flower and cold water boiled together to create a thick sticky paste similar to paper mache.
Bring your own paint rollers and trays, drop cloth or old sheet, clothes that can get messy and YOUR ART. Photography, painting, printmaking, poetry, etc all are welcome mediums. Prints MUST be on copy paper (20# preferred) and can be black and white or color prints. No more than 3 feet on the longest side. Get ready to roll up your sleeves, get messy and paste your prints! Alluvion artists will be on hand to help.
