Peachy and Pink by Lauren Everett Finn
Acrylic on panel, 12x12, 14.25x14.25
About Lauren Everett Finn:
Lauren Everett Finn has been a Michigander most of her life. She graduated from Michigan State with an Advertising degree, but found her love of drawing through her first job, doing drafting for Caterpillar Tractor. From there, she’s largely self taught through her enormous art book library and the occasional class or workshop. Lauren likes to work in layers, sometimes completely obscuring what’s underneath with paint or collage and sometimes letting the bottom layers peek through. This makes for an interesting surface that shows the process of the work; it also leads to those happy accidents that just can’t be planned. Lauren is a popular instructor, teaching classes in northwest Michigan and in metro Detroit.
